We had a Multi-cultural Day the last week of school. The librarian chose to represent Scotland. The main draw at her 'stand' was face painting. The kids I was accompanying chose a saltire, yin and yang symbol and Nessie!
We had a field trip to Oakland Zoo (East of San Francisco) which was pretty good. I had 2 boys to keep an eye on. Just going on the bus seems to be an adventure for the kids!
