What's up in Sunnyvale?
Well, it's nearly the end of July and only now updating my website so I've either been very busy or lazy! A bit of both I admit. We were in Ashland, Oregon for our 2nd "4th of July". We saw 4 plays over the 4 nights. Two classics; "Henry IV Part One" and "Merchant of Venice" both performed in the outdoor Globe Theatre. The newer plays were "American Night" by Culture Clash and "Ruined" by Lyne Nottage. We spent 2 nights in our usual garden cottage and 2 nights in the Ashland Springs Hotel in downtown Ashland. Had a lovely meal at a new Greek restaurant "Blue Granite" but otherwise went to our usual haunts! Excitement was in the air when I spotted a swarm of bees above the swimming pool! A guy came out to try and capture the swarm but they were too high in the tree so he resorted to cutting the branch they were clinging to. I didn't stay around to see the branch fall! We went to a play produced locally at the Pear Avenue Theatre and there was a piglet on stage for all of 1 minute. However at the end of the show we were able to pet the pig - 6 weeks old and so big!
