Schools out!  The last week was a bit of a skive - an International Festival (games and food), a field trip to Oakland Zoo and a Sports Day.  Still not sure if I'll be back with the same boy when school starts again on 24th August.

On our return from the UK in April, a pair of doves had decided to make a nest on the top of our infra-red patio heater. Right above our sliding door.  Two eggs were laid and eventually hatched but the babies kept falling out of the nest so we concocted a better nest by tying a couple of drip pans to the heater! Within 2 weeks they flew away. They'd better not come back next year or they'll be scrambled eggs!

Dog sitting again with Lucy. Some company while Bill's away in Hamburg  on a business trip.  Hope he remembers the squeezee Marmite!
