Yosemite Falls, October 2004 |
Happy New Year!December was a quiet month as we were recuperating from our UK visit. We had a small soiree with mulled wine and Christmas cake for a few friends. Christmas day was spent with some friends in Palo Alto and Hogmany we went to a party hosted by a couple of Scottish friends round the corner from us. The weather's been a bit damp which is usual for this time of year but the good news is that the skiing season has started and we get the keys to our shared cabin in Truckee on 7th January. I've got new shoeshoes and Bill has a new pair of 'fat' skis to try out. If you like cocktails, have a look at my new page of cocktail recipes. I start my 2nd year of Open University in February - From Enlightenment to Romanticism and Art & it's Histories. I passed my 1st year but now it's going to get harder especially doing two courses in tandem - just like full time university (without the socialising!). Will be back in the UK to sit my exams in October.
