JAPAN OCTOBER 2009

We flew from Los Angeles to Narita Airport on Friday 2nd October after travelling down by air to Los Angeles overnight.  We arrived in Japan on Saturday at 6pm.  We flew with Singapore Airlines and the service was as good as they say.  I'd like to know the secret that allows the stewardesses to stay beautiful after an 11hour flight!

We took the Keisei Line Limited Express (1,000 yen, 70 minutes) to Asakusa in Northern Tokyo.

We exchanged our Japan Rail Pass at Tokyo Station and also reserved the trains that I'd researched on-line (japanrail.com).  The pass must be bought outside Japan and cost $489 (depends what the exchange rate is) for 14 days of consecutive travel.  We travelled a total of 3,500 kilometers, mostly on Shinkansen or bullet trains.
