Bryce is only 2 hours drive from Zion. It has a huge amphitheatre of 'hoodoos' which are towers of sandstone whittled away by rain and wind. We stayed at the lodge which is only a few hundred meters from the rim. We hiked down into the canyon (before breakfast!) which is definitely worth doing.
